Monday March 22nd, 2021.
Breakfast is large, and has all the things to be expected. Today, we are going to meet up with my cousin Louise at a café at Moss Vale. But first, there are a few op shops in need of our attention. Moss Vale Vinnies, can’t find Lifeline, find out later that it’s in the back of the shopping strip. Then to Bowral – Save the Children, meant to be open at 10am, but no sign of life, so we give up and visit Dirty Jane’s, a large treasure trove of independent sellers, aka a bit pricey but good for a look. Salvos is open and more what we expect.
Lunch with Louise is lovely and I’m sure we talked a lot! So much that we forgot to get a photo of us together! We talk about going out to Fitzroy Falls and then Louise says we should come out to her place for a look at all the trees she and Eric have done have planted, in an attempt to restore pathways for native animals.
Fitzroy Falls is roaring and quite a sight. Again the valley is very misty and hard to see anything else.
Drive out to Louise’s place and check out their business and all the plantings.
Get back to the Lodge and we’re not alone tonight. Another couple (Anita and Kevin from near Albury) are booked in for 3 nights. We sit and have a cuppa with them and talk dinner plans. The Bundanoon Hotel is the only place open tonight, so there’s a good chance we’ll see them there! Also tell them about the Italian restaurant.
